Enrichment program
Our Enrichment program, generously funded by FAME (Foundation for Australia's Most Endangered) is designed to significantly boost biodiversity in existing forest plantings and help restore damaged ecosystems.

Each site undergoes an ecological assessment by one of our plant specialists to evaluate current structure and existing species diversity, then a specialised plan is produced for each site.

Suitable native species are identified for each site, with a preference given to threatened and endangered species.
Key species include: Ball Nut, Davidson Plum, Durobby, Lime Berry, Red Boppel Nut, Red Lilly Pilly, Senna, Silver Quandong & Small-leaved Tamarind

The site is prepared and species are planted under the existing canopy cover. Each tree planted contributes to the health and resilience of these forests, laying the groundwork for a thriving, sustainable future.
This program will continue to evolve with aims to further develop techniques to maximise ecological function and considerations for adding more forest layers to future enrichment sites.
